Church is a connectional denomination with each local church a part of the larger connection. GSP seeks to carry out the mission of the A.M.E. Church, which is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and environmental needs of all people by spreading Christ's liberating gospel through word and deed, by seeking out and saving the lost, and serving those in need. GSP is Methodist in terms of its basic doctrine and order of worship, which places emphasis on a plain and simple gospel. Episcopal refers to the form of government of the African Methodist Episcopal denomination, where the chief executive and administrative officers are the denomination’s Bishops. | GSP At-A-GlanceSt. Paul A.M.E.
